Local athlete, Mya Jones, aged 10 has been swimming with the Barrie Trojans since 2010. Mya started with the Trojans in their swim skills program and last year was moved up to their competitive team. Last year was a very successful year for Mya, coming in first in her heat in nearly every race and shaving 144 seconds off of her qualifying time by the end of last year’s season.
Mya is currently swimming at a provincial green level, the second highest level for her age group. Our office has sponsored Mya and the Barrie Trojans Swim Club and hope to assist in the development of their swimmer’s abilities. We wish the Barrie Trojan’s the best of luck in their 2012/2013 swim season.
First time buyer? No down payment? We know your frustration. You go to work every day, pay your bills, and at the end of the month (after you’ve made someone else’s mortgage payment) you’re left with very little cash in your pocket. House prices continue to rise and home ownership is looking less and less like a reality. The government has taken away your ability to use a cash back program for your down payment, and the increased interest rates on those programs reduces your purchase price pushing you into a home you may not love, but is affordable. Don’t give up hope just yet – we have a solution
Interest rates are currently at historical lows, but we know that can't last forever. With interest rates and qualifying rates so low, homeowners are experiencing more affordability and purchasing power.
But what will happen when your variable rate mortgage rate increases?
To gauge a borrower's ability to handle the possibility of rising interest rates with a variable rate mortgage we use a handy acronym called IDEAS.
